Absinthee and Gordon Raphael

I joined musical forces with Anne Hadlock during the waning days of grunge-rock in Seattle. I was searching for a real screamer who could do something interesting, vocally– with my synthesized, sampled and drum machined compositions I was working on in the Sky Cries Mary basement (‘Lektronik Dungeon). Luckily for me she liked the music of Legendary Pink Dots and Skinny Puppy as well as Ella Fitzgerald and PJ Harvey– and from the beginning, our Absinthee music was super fun and exciting to co-write, perform and record. We both moved to NYC together in 1998, and wound up with 2 full albums, and an EP of rarities.

ABSINTHEE – Come For Pain
ABSINTHEE – YOU LIED
ABSINTHEE – SHALLOW THEN HALO (Cocteau Twins Song)
A MILLION DAYS (from the album Im Sinne Des Erfinders)
ABSINTHEE – Another Romantic Halloween in NYC (Continental Club)
